Want to add a subwoofer or two...
I have Bose in my car and it sounds great but I would like a little more bass. First of all, would it be okay to add aftermarket subwoofers to this system? I heard once that Bose doesn't work well with other components.
If all is okay with that, should I go with two 10" subs or one 12"? I was thinking to go with the 10's.
Lastly, what do you guys recommend? I don't want to spend a lot, just enough to have some nice bass that won't blow out on me. In the past I've only gone with Alpine, but I never bought subwoofers before. Please help me if you can. Thanks!

i installed a sub on my factory bose system n had no probs...
i have one 12" Boston G5 sub... at first i thought that it would be crap since i never used this brand I always went with kickers. so the guy told me to try it n change it if i didnt like it. after the install i was amazed every1 one tells me the sound quality is awsome. with these its all about quality not power, they thump pretty good but nothing crazy only thing is that their a little pricey..

you could get a 4080+10" JL Audio setup for each side...

With the rest of the stock Bose system in place, one sub would be more than enough. You will overpower your stock system. Plus, you said you don't want to spend too much.
The easiest enclosure setup is a 4080 enclosure and the 10 inch sub of your choice. www.4080enclosures.com. It looks like it came from the factory like that and you can add an enclosure on the other side later if you want to replace the other speakers and HU.
