Hi All,
I have a 350w RMS amp running my 2x 10's (bridged) but I now need to put another amp in to run my new components (amp is 70w x4 rms).
I don't want to take apart the whole dash to get to the back of the factory deck to get the remote wire to get to a signal to the amp...

Here is the question..
Can i split the signal wire from the existing amp and run it to the new amp?
Or can I remove the bose amp and run that signal to the new amp? (ps where is the bose amp??)

Also can I run a splitter for the 8 gauge power wire from the first amp to power the second amp?
That means only one fuse but it powers both amps???

Is this going to work or will i blow everything up?
Please let me know your thoughts!!

Thanks so much!

You can easily split the remote wire among the two amps. However, you must run 2 new sets of RCA cables to the back of the headunit (assuming you have an aftermarket radio). You cannot simply use the sub-out signal for both front/rear.

As for power wire, 8 gauge is pushing it if you are running 2 amps. I highly recommend upgrading to 4 gauge and splitting into 8 gauge for either amp.

The stock bose amplifier on coupes are located to the left of the spare tire under the carpeted mat and under the plastic panel.

You can run two amps and split the turn on and power wires. You should upgrade to 4 gauge power and ground wires.

Where are you getting the audio signal from?

Where is the sub amp that you have now getting its signal from? Did you tap into audio harness at the Bose amp?

The sub amp was intalled professionally, so they have the signal comming from the back of the deck...Thats why I thought I could tap into that (no RCA's)...

The answer depends on how they tapped into the audio signal.

Take it to the shop that installed it and talk to them.
