Question XM Nav with D3 or AVIC Unit

Is anyone running the XM Nav unit with the D3 or similiar AVIC unit? I'll be pulling the D3 HU when I install the new amp and I'm thinking about installing the GEX-P10XMT unit. From what I've read it will cover both XM Sat radio and NAV.

Finished my reading on the unit and ordered it. I'll post about the functionality after the install once the unit arrives.

Another question for anyone with XM radio or nav. Where did you locate the antenna? I don't want it on the exterior of the car if at all possible.
Thanks

I'm answering my own questions...lol. I found out that I can put it in the cubby behind the clock where I put the original D3 nav antenna and there is no issue with reception.
