Is that a color display on the V1? And is the display on the rear view mirror itself? Or is that the rear view mirror picking up the reflection of the V1 mounted off the rear windshield? Whatever that is, it sure looks pretty cool! Please do tell more about the mod!

the little button on the left hand side is your mute button and if you hold it in it lets you change between the different bands..L, A, and whatever the other one is.

Just got my V1 yesterday. I dunno if you can dim the lights on the stock V1 yet.

V1 has been pretty chatty so far. I also have a 9500i, which is much more quiet. Once I start programming the V1, it'll probably quiet down. But my G35's laser keeps triggering the V1's laser warning. Getting annoying. I am going to have to disable the laser.

the v1 cannot be dimmed being that it is only one color on the V1...with the mirrror mod it is the same visual interface displayed on the mirror as the V1...I just had different colors put in for different bands so I know what is what at a quick glance.

You can change the settings of the V1 to decrease sensitivity or something like that. I haven't tried it out yet. I surmise that it is sort of like turning off the X band (or any band) detection in the 9500i.

Here's a link about programming the V1:

Were you able to find your write up? How about a new write up if you can't find the old one? Thanks!

I didn't see it above, but thanks for posting. I just went to the link. Man, this is totally awesome!!!

I would certainly pay for that, except that I can't drive around without a rearview mirror!! I guess I have to buy a replacement cheapo one to use while I send mine out.
