As I suggested in a past thread, I have applied for and will be becoming an AUTHORIZED dealer for this PAC accessory. I expect to be fully functional in my supply line within 1-2 weeks or less. Availability of the adapter is still pending...

As soon as the G35 Sat Input is available, I would be happy to get you all details. I would also be able to offer this adapter bundled with the AV Electronic units as well, for those interested.

Some FAQs:
1.) The pricing is NOT confirmed as of this afternoon. I had a chance to speak to someone in charge at PAC, and they could not disclose this yet (since it was not determined officially).
2.) YES, I will offer these units at a discount price, when compared to other authorized dealers. Apparently, PAC is pretty good about checking/authorizing thier dealers. I hope to be one officially SOON. I cannot guarantee the discount amount, but it should be fair I assume. I will confirm once I get more details. No promises yet, until I am confirmed.

I hope this helps those of us who have waited over a year for an adapter. This one should be THE one we have been waiting for.

iksardarg-question for you about this thing:

I have an Alpine AiNET MP3 changer, will it be possible to hook this thing up to it and control it from the bose system/controls on my steering wheel?

 

Hmmm, Honestly - Pac makes sooo many adapters for so many different applications (some not listed online) that I couldn't even tell you what they make. They make like hundreds of converters etc...

I am expecting some product information in the next week or so. I will check and see if they have something specifically to use the G's steering wheel for other uses (besides the aux input adapter).

Awesome! I have been waiting for the PAC aux in for a while, Do a groupbuy! Also does pac make a VEN(?) connector to hook up an aftermarket amp to the stock head unit?

Ok, stupid question. I don't keep up with this stuff that closely, but I was under the impression that the PAC adapter negated the need for the AVElectronics unit? Can someone tell me what the PAC does exactly, and what additional equipment you'll need to make it work?

The PAC unit will allow you to use the SAT input on your stock head unit as an AUX input, digitally. This will let you connect aux audio sources with minimal quality degradation.

The AV unit is a conversion which allows your Navi to display video sources. Using these both together, you should be able to get great video, and excellent sound quality as well.

The pac adaptor will act as a SAT 2 device. It also has hookups for the PAC SWI-X, which enables you to interface to the steering wheel controls.

Hey guys, I am not sure on the details of the device regardng the connections of the SWI-X unit as well. These guys at PAC are very vague on the phone.

I hope to get a unit in house which I can sample and examine as needed. Don't know when though...
