the SWI-X device interfaces with your steering wheels controls. It interprets whats going on then sends the programmed signal out of an infrared emitter ... example, you have an alpine headunit and want the buttons on the steeringwheel to work with it. You get the remote control for the alpine, hold it to the swi-x box and program it. Well instead of cutting wires on the back of the headunit to access the wires that goto the steering wheel, it will offer a plug-and-play harness. Thats all.

I am an authorized PAC reseller. My contact at PAC has told me that the aux input interface will probably not make the end of the month and will probably fall into next month. As far as the SWI-X steering wheel interface, we stock them regularly. If you go to PACs website, you will see us listed as an authorized dealer.

I, too, am very interested in this product. I will be purchasing an iPod in the next few weeks and will want to have it in the car, hard wired as an AUX-in. I will assume that when you push the SAT button, that this will now control the iPod, correct?? I have seen the ICE-Link product as well, but I believe that they are sold out.

the aux in will not work with a already installed sat radio. i have done the beta version and it works great. 2 audio inputs.

I have just confirmed as well that the possible ship dates for this unit have fallen to "mid-May". No other details regarding the functionality or pricing will be released until shortly before this time... It seems they had some issues with a few test units which they would like to resolve.

I will let you all know what I hear. In the meantime, I like you - will await their word.
