Question Alternate sources for 2006 G35 center console?

So I'm planning on getting the AVIC D3X installed in a 2006 G35. The installer called me to let me know that there is a delay, because the maker of the center console/dash piece that would replace the stock piece is backordered by 3 months. I forget the manufacturer's name, but I know I've seen it on this forum before, M-something?

Apparently the part is manufactured in Japan for Nissan. He said the dealer he talked to in Texas would call him back later today. So assuming things are just skippy, I would imaging there'd be some major delays.

So I'd like some advice from any of you, if you have tips on alternate sources where I may be able to find the same, or similar, piece. Otherwise I'm assuming the only other option would be to make a custom center console.

Thank you.

Thank you so much your advice. I checked with Grubbs on their website and it says they're back ordered.

http://www.grubbsperformance.com/servlet/Detail?no=2613

But I then called Riverside and they still had a few left, for a reasonable price. You just saved me at least few weeks of waiting.

You're thinking of Metra. Their product is far inferior in appearance compared to the factory Nissan / JDM part. It seems like a lot of shops don't know that Nissan makes a dash kit...

Until you said this, I was confused as well.

The dealer did say Metra, but he also said he talked to someone in Nissan America.

I dunno.

But if the Nissan kit > Metra, then it looks like I lucked out and got the "good" dash kit then, since I'm assuming that's what Infiniti Riverside carries.
