Stock Nav System Removal

I am about to buy a 2005 G35 that has the factory nav system. How easy is it to remove the stock screen and head unit? I want to install a pioneer nav system and possibly sell the factory system.

I have read that it is hard to install the factory nav into a car that did not come with it because of the wiring harness but if I just remove the existing stuff I should be able to use the harness for the new system right?

This may have been discussed already, if so could someone link it?

You're planning on doing the JDM DD kit, correct? You'll need a few pieces to make it happen, but I can't say how much of a pita this might be.

Yes. Several people have installed aftermarket Navi, and used the factory screen for a second display screen. You can of course just get rid of that.
