Arrow where to mount usa spec?

I have a 2005 sedan, auto with bose system and dvd-nav.

I installed the usa spec nis-pa11 and got it to work but I can't find a place to mount the usa spec unit. There seems to be no space under the radio compartment (just underneath the shifter panel).

Attached are some pics where I planned on mounting the unit but can't seem to find a way to get it to fit. Any suggestions?

Not sure what it looks like under your console but this is where I had my USA-SPEC and now where I have the Pioneer nav module on an 03.5 coupe.

I believe it looks different under my console. I'm going to check out this spot tomorrow morning.

Any 2005 auto sedans out there with some mounting insight??

i've got an 06 coupe so it may be different but when I leaned the HU forward to get at the back for the connections there is a perfect space in the dash behind the HU in the upper passenger side corner. I didn't even need to mount. Just stuffed it in, tight fit, no rattles
