I got my car back from the shop and they must have taken out the battery at some point. I try to use the NAV and it ask me to insert disk just like the 1st time I use it. Then it goes thru this cycle

1- Disk is being checked
2- System is being updated
3- Update complete
4= Update failed
5- Shut off power and re-insert disk


It does those 5 steps, over, and over and over again/ I already tried re-setting it. Any other suggestions?

Yeah I registered when I 1st bought the unit but it never sent me the email to confirm membership. It will let me log in but not post or respond

 

I think your unit has a glitch, or some wire is not connected properly.
