how did you hook up the radio, what harness? you need to connect the power antenna lead to a switched power source.

Did you connect the power antenna lead when you installed the radio? It's my understanding that the antenna, which in in the rear window, has a booster that needs power.

I know you don't have a power antenna. None of the cars do, but the power antenna lead needs to be connected to the stock harness. The antenna adapter is something different.

You power up the antenna amplifier. It will be grn/wht or red/wht wire.

No, you don't get a power antenna. You need to wire the power antenna turn on lead from your new radio to the correct wire on the wiring harness adapter (assuming that's what you used) labeled for the power antenna lead.

Dude, take it back to your installer and have him fix it! You should get what u paid for and there is noi reason why ur reception should be screwed up. There is plenty of people who hjave upgraded their HU with no reception issues.

You could have several problems. The first one could be the installer. Does he know there is a antenna amplifier that needs to be powered up? You could also have a head unit with a weak tuner. Most aftermarket radios are never as good as the factory radios but should not be bad either.

There is a antenna signal wire that gets 12 volts that sits next to the constant power wire(yellow). This is the wire you will want to make sure is hooked up.
