how much did you pay for the whole set-up? i think kickers look sweet but they are on the cheaper side ~125

I have two 12" L7s with a Kicker 1500.1 amp.

 

4080 box + 12" infinity Perfect + jl 500/1 = about as clean as it gets.

 

there is a big difference between low end and high end Kickers. I have had JL in my last 4 cars and I really liked them, but the L7 rocks!

 

1 kicker L7 10 with a 2500 watt amp 2 channel hits good and not too loud that its annoying this is iop the best with out being redicouls just to let you know most people who blow subs its not because of the amout of watts to a certian extent mainly its because its not enough and the sub dosent move enough to cool it down

 

I am running a JL 12W6v2

or new Kicker L7 10" + amp?? need some input.. whats a good deal on both, and should I get them off ebay?

That's my current setup.

 

Kicker L7 is gonna hit mad hard, i mean it can be heard from 2 blocks away if you have the right amp for it, as for the JL w6v2 it hits pretty good as well but also has amazing sound quality over the Kicker, you will hear alot more notes and they will be alot clearer/cleaner with the JL. However JL is expensive because in the end you get what you pay for so if you can save up for the JL you wont go wrong. An alternative to the JL would be an Alpine Type R , thats what im running and theres no way that you can beat the price for loudness/sound quality that you get, best place to look is www.onlinecarstereo.com

i went to the site and found alpine SWR 1042D sub and alpine MRP M500 500watt amp, is this a good set-up? I want something that's going to have good sound quality and pretty loud.

 

The woofer is good but I would get a more powerful amplifier. If you wanna stick with Alpine, go with the PDX1.600

 

I might end up getting kickers.. but I'm not too fond of the square shape.. are any of the other kickers of good quality? or do they make the L7s in a circular shape?
