Does the non-Bose set up have an amp?

I've read tons of threads discussing the Bose set up with its amp but does the non-Bose have a factory amp also? I'm looking to have my DD installed finally (thanks Pirate) and that was one of the things the installer wasn't sure about.

Thanks. That should make for a slightly easier install.

Correct. The non-Bose HU has an amp built into the HU.

No thanks, I was just wondering because a potential installer asked about it. At least I know they do have an idea about installing a system into the G. I've heard/read nothing but good reviews about them anyway.
