Avic Z2 in a 06 G35, I know I know...

I know this has been beat into the ground and after reading several post I just want to be sure I get all the right stuff. I have a 06 G35 sedan with the NON bose system. I bought a Avic Z2 and I found the DD finisher and A/C controls and have purchased them from an individual. My questions are...

1) Is there a factory amp with the NON bose system and if so what do I need to retain its functionality?

2) I want to retain the steering wheel controls, what will I need for this?

3) any other parts that I will need like antenna adapter?

Part#'s and manufacturers name would be great if you can help.

Thanks!!!

If you have an amp in there you'll want to get all three. Pac SPI is the adapter for the steering wheel controls. I dont know the models for the Antenna and Amp adapters.

I am putting in the Avic Z3 myself and I'm having my installer use all three adapters.

1. I don't believe there's an external amp w/ the non-BOSE head unit, so you'll just be powering your speakers w/ the head units amplifier.

2. PAC SWI-PS

3. Antenna adapter

I think u might be wrong on this. The OEM HU does not have an amp built in, like all aftermarket HU do. So, this leads me to beleive that there is 2 amps in the G or 1 in the trunk that pwers all the speakers. If the latter is true than all speaker connections run from the amp in the trunk. And, if you decide to upgrade the speakers you are confronted with the issue of letting the old amp power ur new speakers or run new wires to the new HU/amp.

Does this make any sense? Someone please enlighten us!

This is incorrect. Moog is correct.

The non-Bose HU has an internal amp. The Bose HU does not have an internal amp and uses the external Bose amp in the trunk.

When you remove the non-Bose HU, you need the PAC steering wheel adapter, the Nissan antenna adapter, and the Nissan wire harness adapters (2 that come together), in addition to the DD finisher and AC controller. Connect the new HU with the wire harness adapters, and your new HU will be powering the stock speakers.

Thanks for the info guys, Will the z2 have enough power to run all the factory speakers? I do not want it to be weak but I also want to avoid running all new wire to an amp etc....
