Car shutting off after start-up after intalling AVIC-D3?? help
I just installed an avic-d3 last night, everythign was working perfect last night. this morning as well i turned the car on, went for a drive to test the navi. I go to leave a few hours later and I start the car and it just dies on me. the battery isn't dead, it just cuts off. I start it again and give it gas and rev it for a while and it seems better, but still idles a little rough. what happeneD? do i need to reset ecu? or could it be something else. thanks
just to add, it only happens on start-up. after running the car and stopping at lights, etc. it does not shut off. battery problem? batter is a fairly new die hard.

I have a similar problem to my 2003.5 Sedan. (FYI - My battery was bought in March 2008 - Duralast 24F-DL 600 amp)
Background: I was out of town two weeks ago, and I disconnected the battery. After I returned from the trip, I reconnected the battery, however, I start the car but it just dies on me at the first time. I start it again and give it gas and it seems better, but still idles a little rough. It only happens on start-up.
My repair guy inspected the (1) battery, (2) starter, and (3) alternator, he concluded that all three are good. He suggests the idea that since the battery has been disconnected for two weeks, the memory in ECU might be lost on the "idles" position at start up.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
