Pioneer AVIC-F series and kenwood DNX8120 excelon

http://news.ecoustics.com/bbs/messag...81/474822.html

The pioneer comes out next month and it looks like a nice package at a decent price.

The Kenwood is already out and is a little more but has Parrot bluetooth.I have Parrot in my car now and I love it so this a +1 for me.

Anyone got any imput on these? This will be my first time going DD and I want to get it right. Both seem to have the bells and whistles. Im using a JL 6 channel amp to power everything so relying on the HU's power is not a factor.

I just installed my Kenwood DDX812 and the nav. Gotta tell you this is the sickest thing I've ever had! The nav is amazing, the sound adjustments, the bluetooth, basically everything in this thing is amazing. I've had the Pioneer avic-n3 in my previous car and gotta tell you the new kenwood is WAAAAY better.

I've heard differently about the new Pioneer. I know that I have no room to talk unless I have experienced it, but I seen little to know reviews on the new Pioneers and the reviews I've read up on were not that great. One key thing is that the new AVIC models are unable to be bypassed,(not implying anything of course) but on a technical stand point, the reviews that concerned me was that the BT was not very good, meaning thoses you talk to can barely hear you, and the other thing they was brought up more than twice was that it lags badly between command functions. I would like to make clear that in no way am I trying to bash on Pioneer, I'm just making aware of the info I found on it.

Ive been reading everything I can find on these units and to be honest it looks like they both have problems. Until I hear more about updates for both units im just gonna wait. It looks like Kenwoods BT is not great either which is funny cause I currenty have a Parrot kit and I love it. No one seems to be bad mouthing the Nav on the Kenwood like I have read about the Pioneer though

I've been looking at those two units as well but I can tell you that I've been very excited about the F series and im really disappointed from the horrible reviews ive read about it...

Definitely STAY AWAY FROM THE PIONEER F-SERIES...at least until they come out with some kind of update, ive read nothing but negative things about those headunits...

On the other hand I've read mostly, if not all mostly positive things about the Kenwood, and remember the kenwood has a bigger screen compared to the F-Series...

If you really want a good comparision, look into Pioneer Z2/Z3 vs this Kenwood Excelon, those are definitely the best two navi in-dash on the market today...
