Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

Can you guys with g35 coupe 2004 with the titanium console confirm these are the right parts and color I need... This is what Yosi sent me:

68260-AM913 (Double Dash Titanium) : 56.90USD.
27500-AL501 (AC Controller) : 220.50USD.
68475-35F00 ( Dash Pocket) : 9.30USD
68470-60M00 (Radio mask) : 5.70USD
28038-AL700 ( Bracket) - 32.97USD
Shipping cost around 57.00USD.
commission of 5% : 19.11USD

total is $401, is this right in order to match our titanium console?

Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

your list is right.

The antenna adapter you need in order to hook up the stock antenna plug to your aftermarket deck antenna plug.

The color of titanium is AM913 is right.

If you want my updated DIY (which is updated from the one over at g-owners.com) just PM me.

You don't need the blank bracket, just get the dash pocket instead. YOu'll save 5 bucks. lol

You'll need the Scosche NN03 wire harness.

PM if anyone wants my updated DoubleDIN conversion DIY guide. the admin over at g-onwers.com hasn't updated yet even though I emailed my updates 2 weeks ago.

Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

Your part numbers are correct.

The total actually adds up to $401.48

The wiring harness and antennae adapter will work with your alpine.

YOU DONT HAVE TO FAX YOUR ORDER IN

I could not get the international call to go through, after 3 tries i gave up and just scanned the driver license, blacked out my #, and emailed it as an attachment to Yoshi... that was fine by him. He basically uses it to verify your address.

I can't 100% confirm that particular adapter will work as I used a different one I had in my pathfinder. However, all 95 and up Nissans (this includes Infinitis) have the same antenna plug, so it should work.

Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

Rambo, hehe, mine just shipped... most likely it should work... wiring harness wil work for sure... all i need now is a nice set of rca's, i was thinking about getting the JL audio ones, those look nice, kinda expensive though, $99 for 2 sets... damn, i will need total of 3 sets, one for front speakers, rear, and sub... do you guys know where i may be able to get it elsewhere for cheaper, cartoys is the only place that has it around here locally... or what other nice looking rca's can i get? i would prefer silver, blue or black ones....

Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

If you do your install right you will only see about 1 inch of the cable.

Personally, I think Monster is the way to go. But it doesn't really matter, just so long as they are good enough quality.

Order RCA from the net. Never buy local or you will get ripped off.

euro,

I went with StreetWires ZeroNoise3. They are relatively inexpensive for the quality and work VERY well...NO alternator whine whatsoever.

Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

I'm getting the majority of my stuff in this weekend - what length RCA's should I get if I mount the sub behind the back seat? I could measure, but since you guys have already done an install, I thought I'd ask you first.... I have my power/ground cables already... I just need some good RCA's and I agree - it's a LOT cheaper buying off the net.... sheesh - it's like "bend over for me, baby" around here at the car shops. LOL Also, what gauge wire would be good (but not to over-do it) for the door spkrs and the sub? Thanks, hoss.............

Re: question about j's garage ordering dashkit

Bama,

I bought 16 ft. RCAs and that was enough. What you can do is take a 20 ft telephone wire or string (which I know most people have laying around the house somewhere) and use that to measure how much you need running it all over the car as if they were your RCAs. Phone cord or string is small enough and easier to work with than a tape measure or measuring tape.

As for speaker wire, you would only need speaker wire to run to the backseat side panels or the 6x9's (if applicable). Most people will elect to keep stock wiring to front doors as it is a bitch to run wire into the front door through the only wire loom that runs from car body to car door. 16-18 Gauge is fine, you don't need 0 Gauge although that would be funny to see!
