I dont listen to rap or hip hop either....hard rock, 80's rock....some instrumental. I think it's bad to associate bass with rap. In rock music....you may not want long sustained bass but if you're like me...you want the bass to kick you in the back of the head like a mule. As I'm getting closer to wrapping up my install, I'm going to to put in 2x 10" Boston Acoustic G2 series into a small sealed enclosure. I plan on pushing them with an Alpine mono amp 1 x 600. When I'm listening to Neil Peart or Mike Portnoy ripping double bass....I want it to feel like there is a friggin machine gun in my car.
