Need Bose Head Unit where to buy

Hi all,

My girlfriend's mother's G35 sedan was having the crazy radio and AC problem so we got the stealership to replace the finisher board which is usually the problem. Hate to say it, board was replaced twice and didn't fix the problem. Now they are saying that it needs the head unit replaced as well. Since this is the mother's car, not going with a double din conversion.

Specs: 2003 G35 w/ navigation

Where is the best place to buy a replacement head unit? Does the presence of Nav change the head unit? I mean, would the head unit from my car fit into hers (2004 G35 w/o nav).

Thanks!

Joe

your head unit without nav should be fine becuase the nav runs off the dvd player above the glove box

Sure about this? I would have thought that the AC couldn't have been affected by the head unit, but apparently that is not the case either....

Thanks,

Joe

Search the for sale section here on Driver and search ebay. All the 03-04 radios are the same as far as navigation goes, but you have to make sure that if her car has a Bose radio that you get a Bose radio to replace it.

The Bose radio is different from the non-Bose. Since your mother-in-lw's car has navi, I'm going to assume it has the Bose system.

Another option is to remove it and send it to be repaired. Someone posted on here that Clarion repaired his for less than $200. Clario makes the Bose radio.

Hmmmm, repair - what a novel concept in this throw away world..... let me dig into that a little bit.

Thanks,

Joe
