That's awsome, I just wish they would be sure of when their shipments come in. Telling people one thing and then showing another is bad for business my friend.

I spoke with the guy at Grubb's about a month and a half ago and he has no idea when (or maybe even if) he's going to get these or not. That's why he was telling people don't expect them for 6-8 months, 3 months best case scenario. So in his defense, he's probably doing the best he can given what he has to work with. It is true, Japan seems to have no interest in producing these things for the US. I've heard that from him and 2 other distributors.

Having said that, I just placed my order with Grubb's and I hope I'm not too late! I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I've been waiting for this kit for TOO long. I don't even have the Bose option, I've been listening to stock since I bought the G. Not pretty coming off an aftermarket system in my last car. At least the G came stock with the 6-disc changer and MP3 capability.

Yeah but for the impatient when they run out in the U.S. it will cost about $585 shipped from Japan. So when they run out his price will be fair instead of calling Grubbs to hear that they won't be in for 6 - 8 months. I a used one I am putting in and I ordered one from Grubbs since they came in just to hold on to.Good luck everyone......

I hope you mean about $300 including shipping. Grubbs have everything listed for $289. I think Riverside is a few dollars cheaper but I guess if Grubbs have them in then they can claim whatever price huh?

The issue with making a custom DD kit is that you still need the JDM AC controller.

I was seriously considering making one of my own, until I found the one at Grubbs. As for the JDM AC controller. The girl @ http://www.mynismo.com/ told me on Monday that they had the JDM AC controllers in stock but no finishers to go with them. Oh by the way she said that they were Dual Climate Control controllers.

Really? They wouldn't happen to have placed it on their site? I just breezed thru it and saw nothing. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place.

I just got off the phone (literally a few minutes ago) with Riverside Infiniti. They have two sets of backorders (the first one, about 60 units) which should be here in a couple of weeks and another order for approx 100 units which should arrive in a couple of months.

I went ahead and got on their waiting list (just call and tell them you want to be on the list to receive the JDM Double-din). I think it's $285 shipped.

They'll take down your info (name, cc #, etc) and when the kit arrives, they'll call you and get approval to process the order.

At this point, they have quite a few folks on the list, but he told me if they call someone on the list and that person is unreachable (over a day or two), they'll move to the next person on the list, etc.

By the way, they're extremely helpful and great to talk to on the phone.

Just my 2 cents....

I wasnt sure if I would ever install a DD.. but I think its safe to assume these kits are going to become very scarce. So, while I had many other things to do with the cash, I went ahead and got in line for a kit (from Riverside). I think if anyone ever plans to do a DD install, especially with 03-04, you might want to just get a kit now. I mean, you'll ALWAYS be able to unload it. Of course now that I've paid for the kit, i want it already and cant stop looking at Kenwood 8120s
