Yay for Cd player of death

Well it finally happened. My 6 disk stopped moving out of the blue a few days ago. From what I've searched, it's really not worth trying to fix.

Now my question is, should I just go a ipod integration or get a new nav/dvd player(I really don't want to mess with a double din right now though.) I already have a nuvi so I don't really need the nav and the simplicity of the ipod thing sounds pretty good.

I've searched in the past and have found a few different answers, but I really really really don't want to remove my dash for the ipod kit. I thought I read about one that hooks up to the amp in the trunk? I have the sat button on my 03.5 sedan but I don't have satellite radio. Everyone with the ipod kit that hooks up in the trunk, please chime in and let me know what you think about it.

Thanks guys. I wish my G was as easy to work on audio wise as my old maxima, lol

Im in the same situation as you. My Bose CD player makes a clicking noise and displays Error on the LCD. I also want to go with the IPOD connection or SAT radio.

the interface on the factory 03-04 systems doesn't really work that great with the nissan adapter. can't control songs from steering wheel. scrolling through songs is pretty slow and quite painful. all said, there isn't really any other alternative other than swapping the HU. and that is painfully expensive.
