Upgrading to a double din navigation system question

I'm currently doing some research for my buddy that owns a 2007 g35 coupe and have a few questions. I had my buddy purchase a JDM double din kit so that is now marked off the list. One of my questions is if I were to upgrade his stock bose system, would I lose the bluetooth feature his car came with? We plan on upgrading it to a Pioneer or Eclipse system. We are currently not sure which model to get at the moment. If you guys can help us out I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

I am not aware of a kit to install a DD unit in the 07-08 G35 sedans because they already have the information screen in the dash. There have been some people that upgraded the rest of the system though.

Are you sure he has an 07 sedan?

He also has the bose system in his car. Will there be any problems doing a double din upgrade with the bose amp?

Search for "Bose" and you will find what you need.

Gilley,

I've spent the past few hours doing some research on G35D and a few other websites and I think i'm heading in the right direction. I did a D3 install on my tC a few month ago and it was very simple, but for the g35, its seems a bit more complicated with the Bose system. Here is what I have came up with, please let me know if i'm heading in the right direction

Eclipse 6620 DVD/Nav
JDM Double-Din kit (ordered)
PAC SWI-ECL2 steering wheel control module
Scosche Nissan/Infiniti Factory Integration Adapter Harness
(http://www.crutchfield.com/S-E1c8ioz...px?i=142C4NN03)

Is that the correct harness I need to have in order for the 6620 to work with the Bose amp? I'm also having trouble finding wiring diagrams for the G aswell, the12volt does not have any.

Please help me out! Thanks

I wouldn't use that Scosche harness. I would use the Metra 70-7551. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/METRA...QQcmdZViewItem Plug it into the RCA outputs from the Eclipse radio.

Is the metra harness the only one I need to purchase?

Also, do I need to buy the nissan antenna converter?

That Metra harness would be the only one youneed to connect the radio to the car's harness and the Bose amp.

You need the Nissan diversity antenna adapter. You cet it free if you buy the HU from Crutchfield.
