Navigation Bypass Pre-Question

I understand that in the sticky that has been created it states no topics allowed to bypass navigation / video since it is illegal to watch videos while driving, however, my question is in regards to bypassing the navigation only (no DVD playback whatsoever). Is this sort of question allowed? I would like to confirm before posting my topic as I do not want to violate any forum rules. Just looking for some clarification.

We can discuss how to make your nav screen an output monitor for video, just not how to wire so you can watch while driving.

Oh ok, gotcha. Well I basically want to use the module that KP technologies has to bypass OK and to be able to use the navigation while I drive. Pretty much 95% of the time I have a passenger in the car and when having to pull over to change or look for a destination, it's quite a hassle. I'm primarily looking for someone who has done the install in the So Cal area as I don't want to take any parts off myself. I plan on possibly adding either a back up camera or getting another module from KP Technologies for the side view mirrors (rotate down when gear is in reverse).

KPtechnologies has a pretty good DIY in their support forum about the '06s. It's a pretty easy install compared to the 03/04s.

Thanks, I'll check it out and post any question I have there. I'd prefer to have someone who has done it before do it though, but I'll look into it
