I was wondering to myself what the availability of the JDM radio bezel will be in the next several months or thereafter... Should we be hoarding these things, anticipating that they won't produce them any longer, and that supply will decrease about the time that demand starts to rise? (when older Gs become cheaper and more accessible to the mod-crazy teenage sect, etc)

I remember when I got my 99 cougar I had intended swapping in SVT upper/lower intake manifolds... about the time I got around to doing it, the price had shot up from around $300 to $700 each when Ford stopped manufacturing them. Needless to say I never did it.

So point being, if I want to do a Z2 install, should I go ahead and ****** up the JDM parts immediately and just wait to buy the unit until I'm ready? Or do you guys think they will be easy to find, later on down the road...

 

It seems like there is an abundance of the 03-04 DD bezel floating around. If you had an 05-07c I would ****** one up whenever you had the chance.

 

I actually bought a JDM DD finisher with dual A/C controls before I got a HU. They seem to be a commodity of late so it would be first on my list.

Are they still producing them or are they a limited quantity?

 

Scosche has a few coming out check out this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/234308-scosche-makes-black-dash-finishers.html they are on page 48 and 49 of the catalog. The JDM ones are just too expensive for me. I'll wait out for the Scosche ones.

 

Yeah, but you know there isn't anything like the OEM fitment... if it is top quality then I wouldn't be opposed to it, usually there is quite a bit of "Nissan tax", you might say... same for all OEMs though.

I must be losing my mind, I thought the bezel was more expensive than it actually is, compared to the a/c controller which is $200ish. Maybe that's the part that will be hard to find?

Then again not everybody does the JDM a/c swap.
