Anyone know if that ipod kit that hooks up to the satellite radio works with an iphone?

Yes it does.. I was using mine today on that exact kit..

Its actually really cool when you get a call it will mute the music and the ringer will ring through your stereo!

That sounds very good, I am looking into the upgrade myself.

Will it overcharge the iPhone, meaning when its charged, it keeps charging it?

Also, if you get a call, your stereo is muted and it rings through the speaker, how will you answer the call? Can you still have a BT headset, or you have to remove the phone from the cable, and then answer? I assume we dont have a microphone anywhere, so even if the call is on the loudspeaker, we cannot respond.

Thanks for any advice, I am really looking forward upgrading my car to i-compatible,

Cheers

Ben

Great question.. that would be sweet to hear them through the speakers... Only thing is that we don't have a mic to talk into... Another thing is that it says to have the car in park before disconnecting the ipod/iphone... So technically you shouldn't awnser the phone if it rings while driving.

make sure you guys check your iphone if it heats up while plugged coz it might break the phone. I saw some post at the apple forums that some car chargers messes up our phones.

The phone only rings..

I just unplug it whenever it rings, the park thing is just a safety precaution that all. It wont damage anything by unplugging it while the car is in motion.

It DOES charge the phone while its plugged in as well. I have not had issues with it overcharging the phone.

it will charge the OLD iphone but it WILL NOT charge the IPHONE 3G. This sucks and it's Apple's fault. There is nothing that can be done about it either. Unless Nissan releases an updated cord that uses the USB pins to charge instead of the FIREWIRE pins like the current kit does.

1 more question...

How clear is the audio on this kit? Is it clear like a CD or does it sound like a tape cassette? This is a really big one I need to know.

OK, I have seen conflicting answers on this. Does the Factory nissan kit display track and artist titles and does it retain steering wheel controls?
