Calling all JL CleanSweep Owners!!!

I ordered a cleansweep off ebay and the dude can't find the calibration CD. Is there any one out there that can get me the audio tracks or make a copy of the cd, I'm kind of stuck in my installation process right now.

A CleanSweep will have a negligible impact on the headunit output, unless you have the non-Bose system. Regardless, while I don't have the CD, JL audio sells them for 10 dollars here:

but I'm sure you could get one at a local speaker shop.

I do have the non-bose system... I've done my research but thank you for your opinion, and the link. Are the "bose" and non-bose not both clarion head units rebadged just running different ohms to the crappy speakers from both sets?

CleanSweeps effect may be negligible if I was replacing the speakers with low end car audio but I'm not.

Well all the CleanSweep does is flatten the signal. On the Bose-Clarion head unit, tests have shown the signal to be pretty much flat. One advantage the Cleansweep does provide, over leaving it as it is, is that it boosts the voltage on the signal but that's necessarily a big deal especially if you have an amp designed to handle low voltage signal input. I was contemplating using the Cleansweep myself but the owner of the audio store I got installed at, my next door neighbor who is high up in JL management, and Manville Smith, a big player at JL audio, recommended against it.

If you want further clarification, Manville goes into some detail here:

at the bottom of the thread.

But maybe you will see improvements with the non-Bose. Good luck with the CD.

VP Marketing recommends against Cleansweep for the Bose systems.

This has just renewed my confidence in JL Audio. No BS, just good products. I just had an XD600 installed and have nothing but praise for them.
