They use different antennas (I believe), but there's an adapter too. Ask your dealer, but don't expect a miracle. Your best bet may be to find someone who really wants a Sirius one, and has XM... see if you can trade.

Why? I've used both and the services are almost identical. Any specific reason?

Since you've actually used both, may I ask which you use now?

Yes you can switch provided you get a new antenna. I'll buy your Sirius box from you (assuming it's the OEM box in the trunk). Send me a PM if you're interested.

Re: Can I swap my factory Sirius for XM?

I use Sirius now, but only because it was on my car. It's all I listen to though. Un-censored comedy has me crying on the way to work sometimes (there is a clean comedy channel too). Two or three NPR stations are nice, several other talk-radio channels, and of course, several channels for each type of music, and I mean each type. For example, there are at least four classic rock channels, depending how "classic" you like it, there are three metal/hard rock channels, several POP stations as well, so every music type is covered, as is sports, news, weather, traffic, etc.

You can see all the streams listed at www.sirius.com.

You can also listen on your PC if you are a subscriber, which is nice.

Thanks for the info. One more question though - did you notice any difference in sound quality between the two? Thanks again.

Nope, both are digital and crystal clear.
