So three years ago, I got a Viper xv791 installed in my car. Great alarm system, never had any issues until now.

When I press the unlock button, it will beep as if it unlocked, but it doesn't unlock the doors. when I use the key to open the door, it will trigger the alarm. I've disarmed the system, and it still continues to go off when I open the door. The kicker is, it's intermittent.

Any ideas as to what's going on? I plan on doing some troubleshooting this weekend before I take it to a shop. Unfortunately, the shop that did the install is out in NYC.

 

Who ever intalled you alarm did not use proper wire connection/route methods, and now you are stuck with an bad wire grounding some where on you're vehicle or you may bad switches and or sensors.
