Also, kenwood's website doesn't give much info on the unit. I wanted to know, is there a hard drive or is it built in flash? Can you store music on the hard drive? Are the USB ports behind the face? If there is a hard drive, can you just connect the USB ports to a computer, or plug in a thumb drive and store music and video onto the DNX hard drive?

Sorry so many questions, but I really like this head unit and Kenwood's website isnt much help.
If you have a blackberry or iphone I think it wont work just yet. I was able to make a couple calls and it sounded like my last Parrot setup which is good. It does have 2 usb ports but one is for the ipod. I know ot will play video from the ipod. Not sure if it can store all this stuff. Im still learning too.

I just had everything installed but I have a few minor issues:

1. FM stations are more staticky

2. My XM Radio does not show up as an option on the headunit for some reason so I am unable to use it right now

3. The installer was unable to setup the PAC-JACK unit because he said there was nothing to plug the wire into.

Can anyone help me out with these 3 installation issues?

It seems your installer doesn't know what he's doing.

Did he connect the power antenna wire? It needs to be connected for the FM amplifier. That may explain your static.

Press the reset button on the Kenwood. It should recognize the XM tuner then.

I guess your installer didn't read the instructions for the PAC. Not all radios have a jack to plug it into. The Kenwood has a wire that must be connected to the PAC.

Yup he forgot to hook up the wire for the antenna. (Solid blue wired to factory G/W wire next to the yellow one..at least on my 03 sedan it is)

Dranom:

I'm sorry I don't have a website for them but if you call and tell Jack that Evan sent you I'm sure he will give you just as good of a deal as he gave me. You can't beat his prices anywhere unless you are willing to pay heavy shipping costs to order things online.

Gilley:

I think the installer knew what he was doing I just didn't realize that for some reason the XM radio runs through the NAV unit and not through a tuner the way the instruction manual shows it should for the Serius Radio Tuner. He did not know about the blue power antenna wire for my G35 but thanx to your help it has all been resolved and it sounds amazing. I will have to post pictures of the finished product so you can all see how well it looks with the JDM Kit.
