Metra Kit with Pioneer Avic-D3. 56K-FAIL

I found a deal for a metra kit under $100. Why not??? here is the result.

The stuff

Buttons

COLOR MATCH ROCKS

I still dont have my steering wheel controls, Im going to install that in a couple of weeks along with the JDM kit

What do you guys think? I saved myself over $200 on the dash kit. and Everything works 100% Correct. !!

looks good. I was going to install the same kit, but it didn't match my interior. My 04 G has the titanium finish inside.

The only thing I disliked about it was that it didn't match and the buttons looked a little cheap.

Looks good. Fitment on the finish ring is pretty good as well. Love the D3, great deck.

I haven't heard any issues with the functionality of the Metra rubber buttons but I wanted the OEM look.....just had to pay more for it.

Ya I have the D3 deck also. It's very nice but needs better mapping dvd. That metra kit looks nice especially with that finish. But it wouldn't match my interior. And the buttons do look cheap.

I like the setup, specially the fact that the your Avic HU fits perfectly. I just installed a Pioneer Avic-F900BP in my sedan using the JDM DD Kit; however, i have a small gap on the sides of the HU and an even bigger gap under it, so i have to rig it by putting some foam on the gaps so you it didnt look as bad... so here i am debating as to keeping the gap on the radio and keep the nice AC controls from the JDM or go with the Metra kit, no gap but cheap looking controls (a loosing situation on both ends for me)
