Where in L.A. to install? How much?
How much should I pay for this install? + Need LOC advice.
I've got the Bose system in my 03.5 G35s and want to upgrade but will keep the OEM HU.
I already have the equipment:
- Polk 6.5 2-Way Component (front)
- Polk 6.5 coaxials (rear)
- JL 12" sub (need to buy an enclosed box)
- Alpine MRV-F540 5-channel amp.
I dont need anything fancy, just adequate wiring and a solid install.
What should I pay for...
- Labor to install?
- All wiring, essentially for amp and speakers? (should I get it from ebay/amazon?)
I live in Los Angeles (West LA to be exact), any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

I havent even gotten my G35 yet but i'll get one soon, and i'll probably try to improve the apparently lackluster stereo soon after i get it.
So I'll also be looking for someone in the L.A .area who can work on G35 systems. I'm not looking for some ghettoblaster system just hi fidelty full sound. I want to keep the OEM head unit and do the least amount of swapping for the biggest sound improvement.
I want to find a pro who doesnt give me the "that cant be done" that i get from the Best Buy guys. The bose head unit on my '97 maxima had them stumped.
Any ideas?

Hey Slip,
Looks like I am going to try and tackle this on my own. Keeping the Bose HU and connecting it to a 5-Ch amp to power the inside speakers and sub.
After finding out most, if not all, car audio shops went out of business here, I called Al and Ed's and laughed at their $600 quote. Then I checked craigslist and got estimates from $200-$400.
I'm familiar with car audio from past cars but didn't want to mess with my G. After reading some threads here, I'm feeling confident and might just know enough to f it up.
What year G are you looking at?

^ i read 2 ohm, but i think it's much more complicated than that. Because of the goofy BOSE stuff i wouldnt try to tackle this job on my own.
I'm looking at 04-06 coupes. I've found a guy who's supposed to go find one at auction for me and give it a thorough exam, hopefully i'll get a great deal.
