Satellite radio says no signal

My G has Sirius factory installed, but I've never bought a subscription.

I thought when I first got it, if you turn to satellite, it would say "service not available" but now it says "no signal". What could that mean? I was thinking about getting a subscription and checking it out for a couple months but I don't want to pay for the subscription to then find out my radio isn't working.

Anyone have the satellite install but not pay for the subscription? What does yours say when you turn to the sat input?

No signal usually indicated that the antenna is attached but it is not receiving a clear view of the sky to receive a signal.

Where is your antenna?

I have the sat radio too and mine normally say no signal as i am backing into my driveway and under the shed, thus bolocking the antenna from clear view. Oh I've been getting it for free for years now. Can you say someone screwed up?

Mine is saying no signal all the time. I wasn't sure if this was really no signal or if it was cuz I don't have the subscription. My dealer is far from where I live so a trip for this is really out of the way.

On the roof. It is the OEM Infiniti install that came with the car. It was pre-installed.

This morning I looked again and it first says "no signal" then gives my radio id. I'm not sure if I just just pay for service or if I have to take it in. It is still under warranty but it is far and will take me all morning.

If you have the radio ID, try to activate it. If it doesn't work, have it checked out under warranty. You don't have to subscribe if you can't get it to work. Tell Sirius that you'll call back after the dealer fixes it.

That may be what it's supposed to say if you don't have a subscription. I'm not sure, mine came with 90days free trial so i couldn't tell you for sure.
