no fm with defrost

no fm with defrost
I just purchased a 2005 g35x
when I turn on the defrost my fm turns into static. The am works fine
I do have a temp paper plate in the window but would am be also affected if this was the problem
thanks for any help on advance

just got my car back from the dealer and was told the rear window had a clear haze on it that was affecting the antenna
hard to believe because the window looked clean
