Question on JL cleansweep

quick questions after searching has been unconclusive

My 04 sedan w/ bose is at audio shop getting the following installed

(keeping HU)
1 - JL cleansweep
1 - 12" JL 12W3
4 - boston acoustic mids
2 - boson acoustics tweets
1 - JL 250/1 amp
1 boston acoustics GT42 4 channel amp

question is :

I went today and almost everything is installed - sounded pretty good, but when the installer showed me the cleansweep he told me he tapped into the bose amp - it goes HU to bose amp to cleansweep to new amps to speakers etc etc - I have found so many different opinions on this topic - I have already purchased the cleansweep so doing away with it is not an option, but what is your opinion on tapping after the bose amp??? is this correct???

Thx for any help...

I would think it would be better to tap in before the bose amp, less devices for the signal to get changed through before its cleaned up.

cant you try both before and after the bose amp to tell us what sounds better?

read the installing a sub with bose thread. tap before the bose amp so there is no interference with that

Your installer probably did it that way because it was easier. For sure you want to install it before the Bose amplifier. The bose amplifier equalizes the output and I'm not sure, but it may also have a high pass (low cut) filter for the 4 channel output.

From my undestanding and talking to a couple installers since I plan to go with oem integration with the Alpine PXE-H650, it is supposed to be done before the bose amp. I'll be placing mine somewhere as close to the HU as possible, but then again, I will be running balanced outputs.

this is what jl audio tech support said -

There's absolutely no problem in taking the signal for the CL-441DSP after
the BoseŽ amplifier, that's the way it has to be gotten in many vehicles.
