equalizer for stock bose

anyone tried just adding a good equalizer/booster to the stock Bose system? I think for non hardcore audiophiles like me that's what it all needs to bring clarity to the highs and lows. if anyone did, were you satisfied? where did you put it? please save the advice for upgrading speakers, changing HU, adding amps to other audio threads. thanks

Re: equalizer for stock bose

Exactly my thinking as well. The Bose system doesn't sound too bad when playing a CD, just wish I could tweak the mid range a bit. The sub just seems to always be overpowering (for my preferences anyway). I blame bad AM/FM reception and radio audio quality on the HU. Hope you get a response. I've been looking for a decent 4 ch equalizer I can set and hide inthe trunk. Any suggestions?

... to Infiniti and beyond....!
