I'm looking for a similar connection but with a charge end to directly connect to the back of my car 12v source...I don't think the usb end would be usefull to me...I've put an order in for the metra ipod to audio/video cable but it's sold out everywhere...

I wanted something also for the ability to play non-Ipod devices as well (like my droid phone). I don't need video really from my ipod.

If you're only looking to do audio, just use a 3.5mm to RCA y-cable to connect to the aux inputs on the back through these cables:
