I am using a hub to connect a flash drive. I'm not sure if wut ur asking will work with the unit.

as long as the USB device draws less than 500mA of current it will work

I belive that 250gb draws 1amp and will not work

I think you have to find a 1.8" harddrive

Looks really nice man. good job.

just an fyi - ultimate electronics quoted me $400 minimum install for this unit if I brought all parts to them. I'm kind of curious how much other people have paid for a "professional" install.

How many hours did you and your friend spend on it? Was this your first install or did you just wing it?

i took more time than usual because i did not want to use any tools that might damage the aluminum console so I use my fingers and wood strips to pry up the shifter trim. I've done several installs on previous cars i had so I knew what to connect and. i just took my time in getting everything in the way I wanted an ultimately came out perfect.
