Has anyone gotten the pac aux audio unit yet and had it installed? If so how is it working and if you did the install yourself how did that go?

On a side note to be sure - if one has the AVelectronics box already installed the pac unit will allow a direct audio line in essence to the radio so you do not have to use the FM modulator. I would love to get around that - for now I can barely hear when movies are playing and what not.

 

Hey there. PAC has not officially released the units yet for shipment - so actually nobody yet has one. There are a couple of test units out, but that's it. I think PAC has once again delayed the release date. I contacted my rep there and was told they would like to do some additional testing on them to ensure compatibility.

I am glad they are trying to resolve these issues before they actually start shipping. I expect them to ship out in like 2 weeks or so.

In the meantime, like all my buyers - I am awaiting this thing.

as much as i would like to believe you, the PAC unit will not be out in a couple of weeks.. try a couple of months.. if they dont scratch the project altogether.. which i wouldnt be surprised.. and.. i have one installed in my car... it doesnt work though =(...

 

Hmmm... From the way she sounded on the phone - she more or less asked me to wait an additional week before my shipment gets out. She said that they just want to be sure that the units are problem free, because they want to ensure functionality.

Sorry guys, I don't know why the AAI-NIS did not work in that one vehicle. I did not have the right equipment for analyzing that day.

We are buying a G35 factory radio from a seller, which will be here Wednesday. It can only be a minor thing that should be fixed quickly. There are 3 interfaces that are in vehicles that are working, so its has to be something simple stupid. The interfaces are already built, so it won't take long to put them in cases, packaged and shipped.

 

I have the pac audio unit in my car. I also have the AVElectronic unit aswell. It works great. Sound is awesome and much more crisp now. The whole thing looks and sounds a lot better. I am in huntington beach so my installer called me in the be the prototype car. aka. the guinea pig:-D. Its def worth the money it will be.
