avic-n1 vs avh-p7500dvd

How come the avh-p7500dvd (retail $2700) is priced higher than the N1 (retail $2200)?? Shouldn't a deck with navi cost more???

Is the p7500dvd that much better?

the p7500dvd has 5.1, tv tuner and it has a bigger screen....but the N1 has navi. Does anyone else feel that the screen/design of the p7500dvd looks better than the n1?

For those with the N1, how do you like the navi? From the pictures I see online, the navi function does not look so hot to me...

Help me make a decision guys...

btw...are the Panasonic DVD decks any good?

Re: avic-n1 vs avh-p7500dvd

I've just got an N1 last week, althought i have not seen other monitors, pionner or otherwise, the N1 to me lQQk pretty good, the NAVI works very well, there is no swaping the disc issue for me, cause i play from changer most of time, not sure what you meant by "functions"? my decison on N1 is the price!, I get everything i want all in one unit that cost me 1900!. I do like the Eclipse AVN's aduio adjustment better and possible better monitor, but it cost 300~ish more and dont retract.

I am sure they are some difference between all the NAVI units, to me it come down to the PRICE(did i mention that before?, the P7500 are gear toward the audio( 5v perout vs only 2v for N1 and 24 bitD/A converter not sure whats on N1)and video( tv tuner and 5.1 perhaps better monitor, its certainly is bigger) but on cbrstereo.com the price difference between the P7500 and N1 is only 50 bucks! if you perferr the P7500's screen and design or function?, you can always add an AVIC-80 onto it, thats if you want NVAI.

Re: avic-n1 vs avh-p7500dvd

i got N1 too..!
if u have the $$ and lookin for good screen and sound..! i think 7500 is the way to go..
if u don't wanna spend too much just on audio
u are for N1 since the price are good and the functions ara loaded too!

also if u are not goin to install a center speaker..
no point to buy a 5.1 deck ...i mean the money u pay for
a 7500 is for the 5.1 dolby if u don't use it y pay for it?

Re: avic-n1 vs avh-p7500dvd

Panasonic got some good lookin screens too..
not much ppl buying it ..maybe because the
faceplate is not detachable..then u may get some windows
breakin soon!

if i got the money i will go for 7500 rather then N1
cos the 7" screen, much better quality pic
much better EQ, the graphics are better too
(it doesn't mean the N1 is not good! it is very good ..but
the 7500 is just abit better!)
also u can play VCD too..(the N1 can't play any movie or home video u burn on a cd-r...u must buy a DVD burner...any way not a big deal but just to let u know! cos i didn't know
until i install it and try to play a home video i burn off from my camera)

the good side on N1 is i get the Navi..a cool g-force thing!
and some money left over for my body kit and other mod!
which i am happy about!

hope this will help u!
don't wanna see ppl spend so much then after think they
made a bad move!

Re: avic-n1 vs avh-p7500dvd

dont forget that the tv tuner can be added-on to the N1 for like $300

I love my N1 most of the time, i cant wait till pioneer releases some sort of mp3 cd changer. Thats the only drawback of the N1, but if you think about it hard enough, you realize that you will hardly use the Navi in real life, only once a week at most. So I can live with the disc swapping for now (although i did save my every-day route into memory).

IMO the Eclipse AVN is the only way to go.
