Does the Shifter block the view from the Double Din?

I want to get it, but I am concerned with the stock shifter.
For those who have it installed, how do you deal with it?
Should I get a single din, where the lcd comes up?
or is there a shorter shifter?

I drive a stick, no problems, It actually makes it easier because I use the shifter to rest my hand on when changing channels. But it might also depend on which head unit you use.
