I can't find anything about if people had to install the Metra OEM Adapter to put a dvd 7" new HU or if they just cut away the plastic in the way. I have been getting errors with my stock HU on my 03 g35 sedan. So I was going to get a JVC KW-AVX710. If anyone has done this please help me out!

 

Yes you cut the middle plastic bar if you are going DD instead of single din.

 

i just installed a zvic z3 i just cut the plastic support bar that seperated the dins. literaly a 45 mins install

heads up:

if you plug everything in but your ac doesnt do anything as in temp up down/ mode button doenst work, you may have to remove the platic backing on the metra kit and make sure there are no jumpers

Wish someone would of dropped the hint that it dose not work on an 03. woahhh 300$ for a conversion kit.

JDM AC controller just found that out in the sticky right after it got delivered. Very sad.

 

does this also work on the 2003 bose units? sorry if noob question
