Picked up my Garmin Nuvi today and was going to hardwire it to the cig lighter but started thinking that running the line and just popping it into the fuse panel for accesory might be easier...

Anybody know if the accessory fuse is in the kick panel or the hood?

If the cig lighter is better can I damage the GPS or blow fuses by just tapping the power wire to another power wire with over voltage?

Pics would be helpful if anyone has any. 06 Coupe sprt btw.
