My max is 35 and it depends on my mood.
If Im cruising usually 12. 2 12's full components and aftermarket deck does need a lot of volume to give the mirrors/car a little rattle

Depends on some songs for me. I drive on the highways and with windows down so I can do up to 30 at times, but generally around 24. On the streets I'm the mid to high teens. Don't get me wrong, I don't blast my music in residential areas. I find that very disturbing, because I know of a person who constantly does it at 1 or 2 AM at my gf's house from time to time. That's why I park my G in front of his truck and when I leave I set off his alarm and **** him off
if its bose in my 04 coupe its fades around 20ish the tribble cuts and the bass catches up and then distorts thats why i upgraded!! now in this shiny new loaner 08sedan thats another story altough i dont see any numbers just volume bars.
I used to blast my factory stereo like crazy. My replacement system I can't turn it up all the way, it simply gets too loud. I've had it at 30 (out of 35) at a BBQ and I could hear the words and beat of the song perfectly from about 40 feet away. There wasn't any distortion either.... JL audio =
