JUst some sub/amp questions on installation

Okay just correct me if I am wrong or if I am missing anything. I have a sub and and an amp and a wiring kit.

1. I connect the red power cable from the battery to the amp.
2. I connect the black ground cable from the amp to the g35's chassis (making sure there is no paint in the way.
3.(part I am making sure of) I connect the blue remote cord from the amp to another blue cord that is going the the stock amp.
4. I connect the RCA cable from the amp to the sub.

Please tell me it is that simple.I think I got it I am just not sure on the remote wire part. I cut the outside part off of the stock amp remote cord and wrap the new amp around it correct?

the stock rem wire is light blue/silver. and you dont have to strip that wire, there are some splice connectors that make it really easy and you dont have to strip that wire at all

make sure you put an inline fuse on the power wire as close to the battery as you can

rcas dont go from amp to sub. you either have to do the like the diy guide if you have a bose amp and splice those signals, or get a special kit/connector to create preouts from your stock headunit, or get an aftermarket headunit with built in preouts.

then you connect speaker wire from your amp to sub.
