Wire before or after Bose amp?

There seem to be differing results from the decision on how to add an aftermarket amp to the Bose HU.

In this forum you will hear that you should tap into the wires BEFORE the Bose amp.

Every car audio place I've consulted is telling me that I should tap into the wires AFTER the Bose amp. They say if you tap into them before the amp, your volume will be low even when turning it up.

According to this site the low-level signal is very good coming from the Bose HU and my amp accepts differential balanced inputs. I just need to use RCA's- which leads to another difference of opinion. Here, you get told that you don't need a line-out converter, at the shop, they say you have to use one.

You can do it either with, with a LOC or just splice into the wires with speaker to RCA plugs however you must catch the signal before the Bose Amp.
*Waiting for Bose stereo master Giley to chime in*

I believe Giley tapped in before the amp and did not use an LOC. If it wasn't for him having good results, I'd have already done the exact opposite listening to the install shops.

Just spoke to my amp's tech support. Since I'm getting a low-level signal from the Bose HU I can convert the speaker line wire to RCA and connect directly to the amp. I've decided to tap into the wires before the amp and not use an LOC.

I'll be back to report how this sounds.

I used no LOC and used the pre amped wires.

I take it that you are not having any volume issues.
