Anyone have this NAV problem yet?

Hello.

The nav system in my 2005 g35x is having some issues. Half of the time I start the car the nav system will work as expected.

The rest of the time when I press the button, the nav screen moves up then moves right back down and the screen doesn't come on.

One thing I've noticed is that when I start the car it either works every time I push the button or doesn't work every time I push the button until I turn the car off again.

A couple things make this more of a pain to get fixed. The nearest infiniti dealer is 60 miles from home. I took the car to them a few days ago and let it sit there a few nights and they ended up saying about what I expected. Worked fine while they had the car sit there. So they cleaned some connections and gave me back my car. I pretty much expected it to stop working again right away and that's what happend.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Anything I can tell the infiniti dealer if I take the car back to steer them in the right direction? I wish they'd just replace the whole system.

Thanks!

Hey,
I'm having the same problem. One thing I noticed is that its not just the screen. Seems like there isn't any power going to either the screen or the dvd-rom....Cause even if you hit the eject button...nothing happens.

that enter button is awful.... I'm wishing that I could "mod" it out or get the screen to be a touch screen....
