Well I'm going to provide a lil rain on the W6 party... I too have a 10W6V2 but for the guys saying it'll take a lot more power than rated... COMPLETELY wrong. I'm on my second sub and I'm an installer. I have a Kenwood 8019 (5volt preout) and a Focal 1.800 powering it. I have my gain at a quarter, my xover on the amp set between 60 and 80Hz and my deck set to +2 for the sub (xover 80hz). and I torn the foam surround on my first one. IF the surround was rubber FANTASTIC sub but the foam surround will give you a warmer feel to your bass.
But to those people who claim the W6 can take more than 600W... DEFINITELY not. They also may be running lesser amps. Or they could be running better amps without knowing their setups I can't say.

that said they can take the 1000 watts easy i wouldn't try it on just one 10w6 when i first installed the amp i tested with one and i wouldn't dare take it all the way seemed like the little guy wanted to rip itself apart, and i did volt meter set my amp so the gains weren't messed up at the time.
as far as sound I have notice in certian songs ... one mic comes to mind there are lows you cant hear only feel so they go low, i tested it with a 20 hz tone and they handled it well... my experience is pretty limited when testing subs but these i like a lot.
EDIT** I mentioned NAS One Mic while it deos have effects and gets really low its not too loud i meant the beginning of got yourself a gun.

hey quick question for some of you again... this isnt for me, it for my friend. he listens to pretty much rap and rap only.. hes more for how hard the setup hits over the quality of the setup. anyways, he was considering doing 2 jl 12w6v2's each with a 500/1 amp or one jl 12w7 with a 1000/1.... which would you say would hit harder and which would you prefer? btw, he drives a f150.
