has anyone made a DD decoy cover?
I like to roadtrip in the G.. Sometimes that means some questionable hotel parking. I dont think an alarm is going to prevent damage... and I *really* dont want to wait 5 months if the JDM DD face is damaged..
So, I've been giving alot of thought to using the DD ring as a template and cutting out the Bose radio face. Pulling the circuit board and caulking in the buttons, applying felt to the entire back. I would use a second DD ring attached to this monstrosity to allow it to hang over the DNX8120. Aside from sticking out a 1/4 of an inch, it would give the appearance of a factory radio. Of course it would look like @ss, but I dont think a retarded thief would even double take at it.
Anyone done this? or had thoughts of doing it? Should be plenty of dead bose parts out there
