i posted two weeks ago about a delay on the PAC input unit because of its problem with g35's without navi units.. well apparently they went back to the drawing board and figured things out! i talked to carl (the programmer) and he said he spent a full day trying to figure out why it didnt work.. they ended up buying a head unit from an infiniti dealership so they can work out all the problems.. the issue was a capacitator that needed to be added to some vehicles.. anyhow.. they figured it out (hopefully) and got it to work on my non navi g35 sedan.. there isnt really much to the pics.. sorry to say i didnt take any during the install.. but here are some with it finished

you cant really tell.. but the cable comes from just under the center console.. you could easily drill a hole thru the cup holder or center cubbie to pull the miniplug from.. itd look much cleaner that way.. but for me.. thats another days work

the old ipod models fit really well in the ash tray.. it has grooves that just perfectly hold it into place..

the aux in is amazing.. i have the griffin itrip, tape adapter, as well as an FM modulator.. the sound quality is just uncomparable.. the aux in is flawless

there is however one thing.. when i plug in my ipod, or any aux source, the volume is just not the same.. i set my ipod at 75 percent volume (any more would cause distortion) but it is still not as loud as the headunit's cd player or radio..

thus, if i turn up the sound system when im using the PAC and forget to turn it down when i switch to the CDs, i end up with a significant head ache.. =).. but nonetheless.. its still worth it.. but if youre picky about it.. consider getting a line driver or somehting of the sort

JT installed it for free.. its pretty difficult to do something like that without knowledge of how to take apart the dash.. the actual part was 100 dollars

I got mine installed today too. The install too a while, but everything works out fine. I'll post picture of my ipod setup tomorrow. However, my ipod is concealed though.
