GuidePoint Problems?

Is anyone else having problems with GuidePoint draining the battery?

I have a new G37 w/ GuidePoint installed that I keep parked in an underground garage and if I don't fire her up over the course of a week, she barely starts.
<theory>
Given that the system is using Cingular/ATT's cell network, just like a cell phone, it drains the battery as it attempts to sync w/ the cell network.
</theory>

I am trying to find a way to limit/throttle back the GP to prevent this from happening so quickly. I've had to jump the car twice already.

Thx,
Justin

I have had GuidePoint on my G35 sedan since new and never had a problem (I got it free). FYI, I paid for the initial year and haven't paid since. All you have to do is call them, if your car is stolen, and have them reactivate it then. Why pay for something you don't use.

So you were able to have them remotely disable the device?

Thx for the tip. I'll give them a shout and see whats up.
